Hawksley was among several talented musicians to perform on this all-Canadian recording. He sang “I loved You Too Much” on the album, which was released on November 16, 2010. Partial proceeds from the record will support The Hospital for Sick Children.

CBC Radio 3 debuted the new video for Hawksley’s (The Happiest Day I Know Is A) Tokyo Bicycle, by Oscar nominated NFB animator Chris Hinton. Hawksley sat down and answered some questions for the occasion:
“I think conceptually, animation is still something that appeals to the child in a person… it allows us to access that place of imagination and pretend that I think still tickles us…”
A Hockey Musical, directed by Michael McGowen, co-starring Olivia Newton-John and featuring a cameo and musical contributions by Hawksley (along with other Canadian musicians), will open the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) this year–marking the first time a musical film has opened the festival.
